ThisIsWhyWeVote.org is a project of New Era Colorado, aimed at mobilizing young people to participate in the 2016 Election. This year, 1 in 3 eligible voters is a member of the Millennial generation; we have so much collective power, and so much at stake.
When we vote, we name our values and the issues that deeply affect us. When we vote, we articulate the vision we have for ourselves and our world. And when we vote together, we’re a formidable, powerful force for progress.
This election isn’t about one candidate or another. It’s about the issues that affect and move our generation. This election is about wage justice. It’s about the fate of the air we breathe, the water we drink and the planet we inhabit. It’s about keeping families together. It’s about ending racism. It’s about access to reproductive health care. It’s about fiercely advocating for the equality and dignity of every person, no matter who they are.
This election is about all of us. This is why we vote.
